Aimé is a credenza designed for and around books, build around the ideas of transparency and separation from the wall. Through its horizontal wooden planks contrasting with thin vertical aluminium panels, Aimé introduces a sense of dynamism into a geometric and static structure.

USABILITY

How do we improve the experience and the use of the panel, often monolithic and mono use ?

Avoid a usability feature that hurts the design and makes the piece overly utilitarian

AESTHETIC

How do we fluidify the panel and integrate it as a connected part rather than a disconnected addition.

Avoid an aesthetic choice with no additional value.

CONCEPTUAL IDEA

Détacher les livres des murs.

Detach books from the walls. Often confined to boxes, shelves, or the edges of our living spaces, they become mere background. Aimé offers an alternative: a piece that disrupts these habits, challenging the conventional rules of storage and display.

INSPIRATION

Le passé comme ombre du futur.

Design is timeless. By grounding ourselves in the principles established by our predecessors, we can continuously reinvent while staying anchored in a long term vision of design, creating with intention and a sense of permanence.
